Mrs. Kirton showed us how to put on a sari. It was the red one she wore at her wedding. Mrs. Kirton also told us some Hindu stories about Rama and Sita and she taught us to count to ten in Hindi. We got to try on some Indian clothes. We also learned to say, "Namaste" and "Namaste Ji" if it was to someone older than us.
We made chapattis with Mrs. Molloy and tasted poppadoms, naan bread, samosas onion bhajis and some chutneys. We made Rangoli patterns with lentils, beans and couscous in Mrs. Howe's class. The Hindu day was full of excitement I think everyone had a good time.
